Update Principal Officer Information for Your Account

Your CheqrPay Account is required to have up-to-date information for one Principal Officer in the system at all times.  We know that for nonprofits occasional staff turnover or even annual leadership changes are a fact of life.  We want to make it easy for you to make the necessary changes in the system to stay current.  When a new leader comes on board, follow these steps to add in the new Principal Officer and delete access for the outgoing leader.

  • The current Principal Officer or other staff member with access to your CheqrPay account should log in to the CheqrPay Dashboard, navigate to the Organization Tab and select Manage Users from the side menu.
  • Enter the email address for the new user in the “Invite” Dialog Box to invite them to create an account.
  • An email will be sent to the current Principal Officer notifying them that an invitation has been sent.
  • The new user will receive an email with a link to create a new account to access the CheqrPay Dashboard. When they click on the link, they will be prompted to enter the following information to complete their CheqrPay account:
 

New User Information:

  • Name
  • Address (this can be the same as the Organization address / may not be a PO Box)
  • Phone Number (this can be the same as the Organization phone number)
  • Title
  • Password

 

Once the new user has been added to the account, the outgoing Principal Officer or another user on the account should contact CheqrPay Support to request that the new user be set as the Principal Officer for the organization.

After our support team has made the change, they will ask the new user to log in to their account and add their birth date and social security number to their profile.

Once these updates have been made, contact CheqrPay support once again to verify the changes. Once we have confirmed that the new Principal Officer has been verified by Stripe, we can delete the former Principal Officer account from the system.
